Welcome to Ms. Archibald's Film Video class.
For more than a decade I have taught theatre, film/video & communications at Arlington High School. A lifelong learner myself, I enjoy helping students identify their comfort zones and then stretch beyond them. I look forward to working with you 2017-18! |

The Legacy of Mark. E. Collins
The Legacy of Mark. E. Collins
Mark E. Collins was a Renaissance man who sang, danced, directed, acted, teched and taught. He played nearly every musical instrument with ease and grace for numerous productions across the state of Tennessee. He tirelessly designed, built and lit countless award winning productions. A loyal friend & colleague, he assisted and mentored hundreds of theatre professionals during his lifetime. Mr. Collins taught thousands of students to stretch beyond their comfort zones and grow into their love of theatre. Our MEC logo reflects his ideal of growing through theatre and his “All the World’s a stage” lessons.
Mr. Collins began the film and theatre programs here at Arlington and at numerous schools – Millington High School, Cordova High School, and Rosemark Academy. He directed the Memphis Children’s Theatre where he and SaraLyn Archibald first worked together. Ms. Archibald was thrilled to join him in the fall of 2007. However, tragically in February 2008 we lost Mr. Collins.
Mr. Collins’ legacy of love, laughter and talents are missed everyday. With great love and respect, SaraLyn Archibald, Greg Krosnes, Mickey Hutson and Jessica Roberts work diligently to carry on his legacy at Arlington High School. Mrs. Roberts leads our film/video program, Mr. Hutson leads our ATV & cable access TV channel and Mr. Krosnes leads our MEC theatre program.
I sponsor our International Thespian Society troupe #6974.
All of these opportunities began with one man-Mr. Mark E. Colliins
